Chelsea looking to offload Lukaku in order to capture Atletico's Costa

Reports are suggesting that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is pondering the summer sale of Romelu Lukaku.

The 20-year old Belgian striker, currently on a season-long loan with Everton, has hardly been used by the Blues since arriving from Anderlecht in August 2011 and could be offloaded at the end of the current campaign.

Mourinho is ready to permanently sell Lukaku in order to bring in some funds to lure in-form Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

ESPNFC.com suggests that Chelsea want around £23million for former West Bromwich Albion loanee Lukaku which will go a long way to securing 25-year old Brazil-born Spain international Costa who has 22 La Liga goals this season for a total of 30 in all competitions.

TheDaily Mail was also reporting that Lukaku will be sold at the end of the season with Mourinho not prepared to offer him a new contract despite the fact he has scored 10 Premier League goals for the Toffees this term.
