Chelsea loanee Kakuta looking for Bolton action

Gael Kakuta is determined to break into the Bolton first team so he can experience regular Premier League football whilst on loan from Chelsea.

The 20-year old winger has yet to make an appearance in the league for the Trotters this season as the good form of Martin Petrov has kept him on the bench but he is desperate to taste action for the Reebok Stadium outfit.

Kakuta did score on his Bolton debut - in the Carling Cup win over Aston Villa - but is now looking at pushing into the Premier League line-up.

"I came here to play. No player likes to be sitting on the bench," said Kakuta.

"I understand that you have to earn your place and I'm confident in my own ability and know that I will make the most of this opportunity.

"It was enjoyable to score on my debut but that's in the past now and I obviously want to play as much as I can.

"I feel comfortable in the team and that is always a bonus because it helps you play your best football."
