Chelsea and Liverpool are eyeing Valencia striker Roberto Soldado.
The People says Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has sent scouts to watch the forward several times this term and the feedback has been positive.
Soldado, 26, has bagged eight goals in La Liga and five in the Champions League, and Villas-Boas will monitor his form for the rest of the campaign.
He has a clause in his contract, which runs until 2014, allowing him to leave the Mestalla for £30million.
But Valencia can try and resist offers now after selling David Villa, Juan Mata and David Silva to balance their books.
Liverpool, PSG and Bayern Munich are all running checks on Soldado too.
