Chelsea legend Zola set to succeed Redknapp at QPR

Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola is being lined up by QPR to replace manager Harry Redknapp.

The Telegraph says Redknapp has a year left on his contract at the end of this season. But there are big question marks over whether he will stay at Loftus Road, particularly if QPR miss out on promotion to the Premier League and are forced to slash their wage bill and playing staff.

Regardless of results, a knee problem could force Redknapp, 67, to review whether he wants to continue in management.

Zola resigned as manager of Watford in December, having lost out in last season's play-off final to Crystal Palace.

He was West Ham United manager for two years, before being replaced by Avram Grant.
