Chelsea know that assistant manager Steve Clarke is ready to leave, it has been revealed.

The Daily Express says Clarke, who has had two spells as a coach at the club and was also a player at Stamford Bridge, told Chelsea officials 12 days ago that he would only wait for five games to see if things turned around or else he would quit.

The Scot has told friends he has become disillusioned with the situation at the club since the departure of Jose Mourinho.
