Chelsea are determined to compete for Paul Pogba should Juventus show a willingness to sell.La Stampa says Manchester United launched a British record £61.25m bid for the France international yesterday.
It is claimed United hope to convince Pogba, who left Old Trafford in 2012 on a FREE, to rejoin the club this month by offering him a whopping £7m-a-year contract.
However, the Daily Express says Chelsea are ready to step up their interest in the 21-year-old and will attempt to beat United to his signature.
Chelsea, it is claimed, are planning a £40m bid and are willing to include either one of Ramires, Andre Schurrle or John Obi Mikel as part of a deal for Pogba.
