Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga admits they're having a "bad season" after defeat at Real Madrid.
Real won the first-leg of their Champions League quarterfinal 2-0 last night.
Kepa later told MovieStar +: "We leave with the feeling that they have been superior.
"It has been 30 minutes with one less and that at the Bernabéu is a lot. They have been better. Much to improve for the second leg.
"It's a bad season. In the League we're in mid-table and in the Champions League we're in the quarterfinals, but it's 2-0. We need to create a special atmosphere at Stamford Bridge.
"The feeling is that we are not at our level. The players are primarily responsible. We have had three coaches and many changes in the squad. It is costing us. We are not having the performance our squad is supposed to have. It is time for head down and keep working.
"We need a very good match (in the second leg), to score first. I'm sure we'll have chances and we need to be more clinical in those areas."
