Chelsea are believed to be showing significant interest in FC Porto's Yacine Brahimi.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Jose Mourinho is planning a swoop for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder who has a release clause of £44million.
French-born Algeria international Brahimi has previously been heavily linked with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain but now the Blues have reportedly joined the race to secure his services.
Mourinho, who could maker a move for Brahimi in January, is eager to provide competition to the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas who have been well below their best in the early stages of the new season.
