Christian Benteke has emerged on the transfer radar of Premier League champions Chelsea.

The Daily Mirror reports that the Blues are pondering whether or not to hijack Liverpool's pursuit of the Aston Villa striker who has been a rich vein of scoring form of late.

The Reds are looking to offer around £30million for 24-year old Benteke but it is believed that Jose Mourinho is now eyeing the Belgium international.

Benteke, who has netted 11 goals in past 10 outings, could be on his way at Villa Park this summer if the West Midlands club receives a lucrative offer.
