Didier Drogba insists he has no regrets playing in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai Shenhua.
The 35-year old Ivory Coast striker departed Chelsea last summer after eight years in London to sign a lucrative deal with Shenhua only to leave six months later to join Turkish outfit Galatasaray.
Drogba's fleeting spell in China has come with plenty of criticism but the powerful forward has made it clear that it is a move he does not look back on with negativity.
"For me it was a great experience, and I have no regrets going there. I'd won everything in Europe, and I really wanted to go win something in Asia or in America," he told SI.com.
"That was the challenge. It didn't go well because of some other things, but the fans and the players were fantastic. It's a shame I had to go, but this is life."
