Chelsea are on alert after Marquinhos indicated the could possibly leave Paris Saint-Germain in search of regular first-team football.

The 21-year-old Brazilian defender has made just 12 starts in Ligue 1 this season and has dropped a slight hint that perhaps he could look elsewhere in the hear future if his situation with the French champions does not improve.

"My future is in Paris? At the moment, yes. But I can only speak of the present," he said.

"Everyone knows you have to have a reflection at the end of the season.

"We'll talk about the objectives of the club and of me personally. Right now I try to remain professional.

"I try to work to win my place and to have playing time. We'll see how the season will finish. Afterwards, there will be a reflection."

With captain John Terry set to leave at the end of the season, the Blues again have Marquinhos on their radar after failing to land the former AS Roma man in the summer transfer window.
