Chelsea are battling Valencia for Celta Vigo star Iago Aspas.

The prolific striker has been likened to Barcelona striker David Villa and identified by Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez as a quality addition to his squad.

Chelsea are willing to meet Aspas' €10 million buyout clause this month and loan him back to Celta for the remainder of the season.

However, they face competition from Valencia, which see Aspas as a replacement for unsettled Brazilian striker Jonas.
