Chelsea ease past bottom club West Brom

Two first half goals from Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard allowed Chelsea a comfortable home win over struggling West Brom. "I think it is always nice to score early at home and it was a classic goal with a cross from a right-winger and a powerful header from a centre-forward who we are delighted to have back," Wilkins told the club's official web site.

"It is vitally important we get everybody fit and playing as well as they possibly can. It's lovely to have Didier coming back to form because he is an exceptional centre-forward we love to have in the squad.

"We are thrilled when anybody gets back to full fitness and now the squad is becoming fuller than it has been this year. Ricardo Carvalho is nearing fitness as well and is another we can have the squad, so it's delightful to have so many top players to call upon.

"It's what having big squads are all about, the competition is there and the squad is becoming complete - now the competition will rise."
