Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has hinted he is ready to retire from international football.

The veteran Brazil stopper has commented after last night's World Cup elimination by Croatia.

"It is difficult, but we have to try to lift our heads and continue. There is no other alternative," said Thiago Silva.

"I think we suddenly lost our concentration. We got a bit disorganised and that's what the goal came from.

"As a player, I will unfortunately not be able to lift this trophy."
