Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma admits he came close to joining West Bromwich Albion before the transfer deadline fell.
Bruma says David Luiz's delayed arrival from Benfica scuppered his hopes of getting a move away last week.
"Hamburg and Stuttgart wanted me in Germany, while West Bromwich Albion were also trying," revealed Bruma. "But those clubs didn't have all their affairs in order for the transfer deadline, so everything was cancelled.
"I was a bit upset about it. But now I can still be loaned for three months."
