Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has no doubts about their title credentials after their 6-1 triumph over Hull City. Liverpool are now just three points behind league leaders Chelsea following their 3-1 defeat at Wigan Athletic.
Benitez thinks this is more evidence that the Barclays Premier League title race will be hard to call this season.
"We talked about this before," said the Spaniard. "The top sides will lose games. You'll see more teams losing and there will be more competition at the top of the table. That's positive for the fans and for the press - because you can write more things every single day. It will be a funny year."
Liverpool meet Carlo Ancelotti's men at Stamford Bridge next weekend on the back of six straight wins.
Benitez added: "It is important to win some games in a row, so confidence is high. But Chelsea are a strong team with quality, so it will be a very, very tough game."
