Chelsea will consider signing Alex Telles if they are priced out of a move for Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
The Foxes are expected to play hard-ball over the England international, as they did with Manchester United for Harry Maguire last summer.
Any deal is further complicated by the fact that Chilwell has a contract until 2024.
Chelsea are therefore looking for alternatives, with Porto's Telles and Southampton fullback Ryan Bertrand also options, according to Goal.
Telles is out of contract in 2021 and would cost around £40m.
The addition of a left-back at Stamford Bridge would mean the sale of either Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri.
Alonso continues to be linked with a move to Italy with Inter Milan.
