Chelsea are confident Branislav Ivanovic will resist interest from Bayern Munich.

The People says the 31-year-old right-back has little more than a year to run on his deal with the Premier League champions elect and there are no plans to sit down to discuss an extension until February next year at the earliest.

Bayern Munich have let their interest be known to the Ivanovic's camp and plan to test the water in the summer.

However, the Serb and his family are well settled in London, though, and the early indications are he will opt to stay at Chelsea if and when the Blues do decide to renegotiate.
