Chelsea come from behind and Wolves triumph at Wigan

For a second successive game Chelsea came from behind, this time at Sunderland to win 3-1. Whilst at Wigan, Premiership new boys Wolves got their first three points of the campaign with a narrow 1-0 scoreline. Chelsea had dominated the Black Cats but found themselves a goal down a half time to Darren bent's strike just before the break.

But an early leveller from Michael Ballack set the Blues on their way and Frank Lampard handed them the lead from the penalty spot.

Unsettled Deco sealed the win on 70 minutes to make it maximum points from the opening two games for the team from Stamford Bridge.

Wolves battled to a 1-0 win at Wigan courtesy of an Andy Keogh header, and despite the hosts battering the visitors for most of the second period they couldn't find a way of turning their superiority into an equaliser.

This gave Mick McCarthy's side their first away victory in 30 Barclays Premier League matches.
