Chelsea management have assured Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of his future after the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
Ex-Barcelona striker Aubameyang, 33, had been looking forward to working with Tuchel again but the German was sacked on Wednesday in the wake of their Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.
The Telegraph says the player has been reassured and is looking forward to playing under incoming manager Graham Potter.
While co-controlling owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali addressed the Chelsea squad following Tuchel's sacking, Aubameyang was also phoned personally to explain the situation.
Naturally, Aubameyang had anticipated Tuchel being his manager at Stamford Bridge and this was a factor in deciding to make the return to Premier League football.
