Chelsea chief Ron Gourlay has confirmed that unpopular Rafael Benitez is set to remain in charge until the end of the season.
Chelsea have won just four of their last nine League games and last week Benitez criticised the club for only naming him as an 'interim' coach and also blamed the fans for poor results.
Gourlay said: "It was the club's plan to have Benitez as interim manager with the aim of securing a Champions League position at the end of the Premier League season. We'll assess the situation then. Our priority lies with a Champions League spot."
