Chelsea are chasing Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.

The Daily Star Sunday says they will offer Filipe Luis as bait in their bid to sign Godin.

Boss Jose Mourinho is also an admirer of Atletico midfielder Koke, 23, but the Spanish side will point to his £45million buy-out clause.

Godin, 29 is valued at around £18m and is key to the La Liga champions' miserly defence.

He is also a target for Manchester United but he is understood to prefer a switch to London should he move.
