Chelsea captain Terry: I'm in the gym twice a day to keep fit!

John Terry has revealed that he spends every day in the gym in order to keep himself at peak physical condition.

The 34-year old centre-back played every minute of every game as the Blues clinched their first Premier League title since 2005.

Terry attributes his new-found vitality to having a six-week break last summer during the World Cup while also being stringent with his day-to-day fitness regime.

"I certainly enjoyed the full six weeks off this year when they were in Brazil," Terry said.

"Well I think I've been to Dubai three times just to get a bit of sun as well but that comes down to the trust as well.

"The manager trusts me, at this stage of my career, I've just found I can't take any days off so when I get days off, even when the manager says to me 'you can go to Dubai, you can do whatever you want for three or four days', when the lads are away on international breaks, I'm in the gym every morning.

"I'm in there twice a day, I train with the youngsters but if I'm out of the country I'm in the gym every morning, on the beach, running around so I'm fit and I think that's key."
