Chelsea captain Terry hits back at ex-Liverpool boss Benitez

John Terry has hit back at former Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez after holding aloft the Premier League trophy.

Veteran centre-back Terry has played every minute of every Premier League game this season just a couple of years after then-Blues boss Benitez dropped him, saying he could not play two games in a week.

Chelsea's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday enabled Terry to win his fourth English title and the triumph prompted some words of vindication towards the ex-Liverpool gaffer.

"One person said I couldn't play twice in a week and he knows who he is," he told Sky Sports.

"I've not only proved him wrong but everyone wrong - I'm still fighting, I'm still in the side, I'm feeling great.

"More importantly I've got great players and great management around me."
