Chelsea captain Azpilicueta details heated fan exchange - and the present he gave

Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has detailed last week's exchange with a fan after defeat at home to Arsenal.

Azpilicueta insists the supporter was innocent in their confrontation.

"It looked worse than it was. I was mad at my own performance, I was mad at the result, I was mad at the penalty kick, and then I spotted him in the stands. But it had nothing to do with him, it was just an exchange of words, and it looked worse than it was," said Azpilicueta.

"He demanded more will from the team, and he was right. I told him my side of the story, and we had a hard time, and we had to push together.

"I saw him again the other day after the match, and there I gave him my captain's armband. There was respect. When I looked at the pictures, it was not really me, because I was very angry."
