Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas insists he never came close to joining a Serie A club in the summer.
Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis claimed earlier this week he considered moving for AVB while he was still in charge of Porto. The Chelsea manager was also linked with Inter Milan.
"In the summer I was close to Napoli or Inter? No, absolutely not. I have nothing to say," smiled AVB.
"But I thank both president Moratti and De Laurentiis for the beautiful words they've said about me. They have talented engineers, Mazzarri and Ranieri are big Italian coaches and I am sure they will win with their teams."
