Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas insists there was no blow-up with Ashley Cole on the weekend.
Villas-Boas said suggestions Cole criticised his' tactics were "not true", and played down claims Frank Lampard's unhappiness at being left out of Tuesday's team was a sign of mutiny in the ranks.
Villas-Boas said: "It was the decision of the manager and he accepts it.
"It's difficult for him to take with the involvement he's had in Champions League games and I wouldn't expect it any other way, but it is the manager's decision and although it's difficult to take it's for the benefit of the team."
