Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel insists Romelu Lukaku's arrival will be good for Timo Werner.

Tuchel insists Werner is still very much in his plans.

And contrary to popular belief, Tuchel says Lukaku's signing will actually HELP Werner reach his full potential in the capital.

Speaking after Chelsea's 3-0 opening day win over Crystal Palace, the manager explained: “I think it will help Timo a lot, with the arrival of Romelu.

“He takes responsibility, can take some pressure off Timo, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic, so we have more variations.

“We can play with two strikers or go with a front three. The arrival of Romelu is good news for Timo."
