Chelsea boss Pochettino: Sheffield Utd draw a fair result

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino says their 2-2 draw with Sheffield United was "fair".

Pochettino felt the inconsistent performance was due to the youth of his team.

Oli McBurnie struck in injury-time for the Blades to earn a point and Pochettino said: "The way we conceded in the last few minutes is frustrating and I am disappointed.

"But if you analyse the game the draw is fair.

"I think Sheffield United created a few chances, they were always believing and of course, we didn't control the game.

"And then we can not maintain the wrestle against Sheffield United and conceding in the last few minutes is very frustrating.

"Some players were not fresh, of course we are playing a lot.

"Today is not about finding excuses, in the last few minutes we needed to kill [the game], that is the reason we are in the position we are.

"We are scoring and the problem is we are conceding a lot, we are going to keep working and believing.

"They [young players] need to be strong and solid - now it's about us keep going.

"It's about being tough, more responsible and trying to play - the young guys need to be consistent.

"After the Carabao Cup the team is improving, but the season started nine months ago and it is effecting the position.

"Sometimes it's not easy as it's a young team.

"We are preparing the team for the next few years and we are building this basis."
