Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes his side are disadvantaged following the suspension of Nemanja Matic. The Serbian midfielder had an initial three-match ban for misconduct reduced to one on Monday after he was red-carded for clashing with Burnley's Ashley Barnes on Saturday.
The one-game sanction has forced Matic out of Sunday's Capital One Cup final with Tottenham at Wembley and Mourinho is of the belief that the Blues are handicapped without the former Benfica star.
"It will be an advantage [that Matic is suspended]. In football an advantage is an advantage," Mourinho told the Evening Standard.
"They [Tottenham] have such a good squad, almost replicas with two players for every position.
"What's the difference between Erik Lamela and Andros Townsend? Nacer Chadli and Christian Eriksen? Paulinho and Ryan Mason? Vertonghen and Fazio - actually Vertonghen likes to get cards to the opponents."
