Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has rubbished claims he was offered the Real Madrid job this week.

It was claimed that Real president Florentino Perez offered the post to Mourinho during a chat in recent days.

"I called Pérez, but it is not true that he offered me the job of head coach," Mourinho told Marca.

"I have called the president to congratulate him on the victory of the basketball players of Real Madrid in the Euroleague.

"I know what that means to him."
