Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is maintaining an interest in Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic.

Mourinho made enquiries after the former Blues prospect during the summer, but was unimpressed by Benfica's asking price.

Serbian coaching staff have confirmed the Special One will attend their World Cup qualifier with Croatia on Friday to make a scouting check.

Also on show could be Chelsea winger Lazar Markovic, who is on a long-term loan with Benfica.
