Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho knows Ashley Cole is frustrated with his benching in recent games.
Cole made his first Chelsea start since November 2 in Wednesday's Champions League win over Steaua Bucharest but must wait until Sunderland in Tuesday's Capital One Cup quarter-final to play again.
"I don't think he is happy," said Mourinho. "I've not asked, but I don't think he is!
"But I trust both players, and Cole is not a No 2. I have two No 2s, or two No 1s, if you like. I trust both and choose the one who is better for the occasion."
