Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo has Ryan Bertrand in his plans for tonight's Champions League final.
Bertrand, a left back, has never even been a substitute in the competition but has been on the left wing in training all week as Di Matteo drilled his probable team.
Chelsea's interim boss has previously used Ramires on the left to shackle full backs Dani Alves of Barcelona and Napoli's Christian Maggio.
Philipp Lahm is Bayern's threat from right back and, with Ramires suspended, Di Matteo will need his wide players to track back and defend against Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
