Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo has confirmed Branislav Ivanovic missed their Champions League win at Benfica with a thigh injury.

Ivanovic had suffered a setback with the thigh injury he is currently carrying.

"He failed a fitness test this morning, will need to see how he recovers in the next few days, at the moment he's doubtful for the weekend, but we hope he can recover as soon as possible," he said after the 1-0 win.
