Chelsea boss Rafa Benitez won't play Frank Lampard tonight against Europa League opponents Sparta Prague.

Benitez revealed that the 34-year-old midfielder will not be in the squad for the last 32 second leg at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday and Benitez said: "He will not be in the squad tomorrow. We have to manage him a little bit with an eye on the other games.

"We want to manage the squad. It is important to have these type of players because they are good professionals. It is important to be fit and to train properly, and he is doing that."
