Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas shrugged off dropping Fernando Torres yesterday. Torres was dropped by Chelsea for their 2-1 win at Sunderland.
Manager Villas-Boas had warned he was prepared to axe the £50million misfit.
Danny Sturridge was preferred and scored for the Blues with an audacious backheel.
Without Torres and the injured Didier Drogba, Chelsea used Sturridge and Nicolas Anelka in attack.
Villas-Boas said of the Torres axing: "Was it brave to do that? I don't feel brave - no. We decided to go with this because Nicolas hadn't played in the international break."
