Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti believes Roberto Mancini is well-suited to the demands at Manchester City.
Mancini becomes the third Italian manager in the Premiership after Ancelotti and West Ham United boss Gianfranco Zola.
Ancelotti said: "Why did Mancini not stay in Italy? He earns too much money, I think that's the only issue. He has found a good, young club where he can bring in some interesting ideas. He'll do well in England.
"Football is international now and Italian tacticians are appreciated overseas. We have an excellent school of thought and also earn experience in Serie A, where tactics are far more important than in England, so that aspect can make the difference here."
