Chelsea are ready to bid for Porto midfielder Raul Meireles.
The Daily Mail says the 27-year-old, who is rated at around £12million, is also a target for Real Madrid after an impressive World Cup.
Porto have already signed Meireles's replacement by bringing in stylish midfielder and former Everton target Joao Moutinho from Sporting Lisbon, and they need a quick sale to help pay for it.
Chelsea have brought in Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun for £6.5m and have also been monitoring Brazil's Ramires of Benfica.
