Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti denies he wants to go Italian to replace Ray Wilkins.
Former AC Milan identities Filippo Galli and Paolo Maldini have been linked with the post.
But Ancelotti said: "I read in the Italian papers that I want to take Italian assistants but this is not true. When we take a decision, there will be an announcement.
"I want to speak with the club and, together, we will take a decision. But I'm sure it won't be an Italian.
"I have fantastic assistants in Paul Clements and Steve Holland. I think the staff are able to maintain the same job without Ray."
