Chelsea attacker Callum Hudson-Odoi was happy to score in their FA Cup win against Chesterfield.
The Cobham graduate started at left wing-back and was a thorn in the side of Chesterfield's right-hand side throughout, using his pace and trickery to create many chances for Chelsea's forward line.
"We came out here to prove a point which we did," Hudson-Odoi said post-match. "Credit to them as well, they gave a good fight throughout the whole game.
"I was told to be wide and be direct and create as many chances as possible. I said to myself I have to try and create, be aggressive on one v ones and win your battle every time."
Speaking of his goal, which was a beautiful curling effort, he talked through what was going through his mind at the time.
"As I ran inside I was looking for an option to pass, but I said to myself let's just go for goal. I could see the keeper was a bit more to one side, so I whipped it as much as possible. I was delighted it paid off."
