Chelsea assistant coach Zola in hospital during Euro win

Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola missed last night's Europa League over Malmo after spending the night in hospital.

Zola was hospitalised due to complications from a gallstone surgery.

He underwent an operation to cure a gallstone problem last week, but he needed to be re-admitted following complications from the surgery.

Chelsea have not set a return date for the 52-year-old Italian and he missed Thursday's Europa League game against Malmo.

Any potential involvement in preparations for Sunday's Carabao Cup final again Manchester City is also in doubt.
