Chelsea and Liverpool are involved in the head-to-head battle to secure the services of Southampton star Ryan Bertrand.

Ryan Bertrand has been one of the most consistent left-backs in the Premier League since joining Southampton from Chelsea two seasons ago and the 27-year-old is now starting to attract the interest from a host of top clubs.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested in securing the services of Bertrand next summer and the two teams are expected to be locked in a head-to-head battle in the race to sign the England international.
