Chelsea star Michael Essien will attempt to keep a low profile with Ghana during this month's African Nations Cup.
Essien is fit to play for the Black Stars after returning to Chelsea training last week.
He is now flying out to Angola and told chelseafc.com: "I want to stay as calm as I can. When you play in a big team like Chelsea you cannot get away from the expectations, but I prefer to keep a low profile, that's the way I am. I am very quiet and like to keep myself to myself.
"We can be confident though because we did really well in the last Nations Cup at home and hopefully we'll do at least as well in Angola, and then take that confidence to the World Cup in South Africa."
