Premiership stars Didier Drogba (Chelsea) and Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) are set to pocket a staggering £500,000 each for just a couple of days work after the World Cup.
The Daily Mail says there had to be a considerable financial reason why six of the world's best players - Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Rooney, Drogba, David Villa (Valencia), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) - have agreed to take part in a football skills extravaganza A:3K at the O2 Arena on July 17 less than a week after the World Cup final.
It's understood the six will be pocketing around £500,000 each for the ITV show that will be heavily promoted by David Beckham.
He was involved in the concept and would have taken part but for his injury and is sure to feature in future shows.
