Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam is pushing for a start tonight against Everton.

Adam expects to step in for the injured Stephen Ireland.

He said: "Hopefully I can get an opportunity from now until the end of season.

"I played five games and scored two goals then got injured and have been left out since.

"I've been frustrated and disappointed and hopefully I can make an impact now."
