Chivas USA coach Preki has used 24 different line-ups in 26 MLS matches this season and it seems to have worked.

Chivas currently sits three points off the lead in the Western standings and Preki puts it down to using new players in various positions to keep things fresh.

"We give them little points here and there and show them some things on the field and with videos that we hope will help them," said Preki of his newer players.

"We hope that the work here on the training ground helps them and that they get better every week."

Chivas defender Yamith Cuesta said the faith Preki shows in his players gives them plenty of confidence when out on the pitch.

"Preki gives us a lot of confidence, both on the field as a coach and off it as a friend," said Cuesta.

"I also get it from just being a part of a team like Chivas with such a great coach and such great players. I'm very happy here and am excited to keep pushing for the playoffs.

"The team is winning. We just need to continue playing the way we've been playing and we'll be in good shape."
