CHAMPIONS LEAGUE - SF 2nd LEG: Juventus overcome Real Madrid to book Berlin date with Barcelona

Juventus are into the UEFA Champions League final for the first time in 12 years after beating Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The Italian champions forced a 1-1 draw at the Santiago Bernabeu in the semi-final second leg on Wednesday night to progress 3-2 on aggregate following last week's 2-1 triumph in Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo edged Real ahead - on the night and overall on away goals - when he converted from the penalty spot on 23 minutes but Massimiliano Allegri's Bianconeri were not be denied.

Former los Blancos striker Alvaro Morata, who scored last week, fired a bouncing ball beyond Iker Casillas in the 57th minute to give Juventus the ascendency before the Serie A powerhouse absorbed more than 30 minutes of pressure from Carlo Ancelotti's outfit.

In the end, the Juventus defence prevailed over the star-studded Real attack to book their place in the final - their eighth in Europe's premier club competition - where they will take on Barcelona at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on June 6.
