Chelsea eased to the top of the group with a 5-0 defeat of Genk at Stamford Bridge. Genk have still to score in this seasons Champions League competition but they also seem to have problems at the back as Chelsea were four goals to the good by half-time, because if the Blues were imperious, the visitor's were awful.
After the break inevitable the pace dropped and only one more goal was added but all the damage was done in a scintillating first 45 minutes.
The only disappointment for the Chelsea boss will that Fernando Torres just failed to complete his hat-trick.
Raul Meireles opened the scoring with a long-range effort before Torres made it two by the 11th minute.
The former Liverpool striker headed the third just before the half-hour before Branislav Ivanovic got his head to Florent Malouda's free-kick.
Substitute Salomon Kalou's completed the rout with 17 minutes remaining, making four wins out of four at home to Belgian opposition.
