Chairman: Swansea will be active in summer transfer market

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has revealed a summer shopping list of summer transfer targets has already been drawn up. He told the South Wales Evening Post: "Michael and I looked weeks ago at what we felt we need to do in January and one of the things he wanted sooner rather than later was to sign Roland Lamah.

"We got that done as early as we could, and there were one or two other things which we worked on behind the scenes.

"Ideally we might have got the players in during January, but in a couple of cases the players who we felt were right for us wanted to stay with their current clubs until the summer.

"We will review the situation then, but they are things we have worked on and we feel we have put ourselves in a good position. "Hopefully, when the transfer window opens again, we can get things done quickly. Hopefully we can make sure we get our squad together before our pre-season trip - that's our aim."

Jenkins admitted that a new frontman will be towards the top of boss Michael Laudrup's summer shopping list.

He added: "I think nearly every club who are aiming to compete at the top end of the Premier League will be looking for forwards who can add something different.

"We will be looking to go down that road, and Michael is confident we can get the players we want in the summer."
